MailGuard Beta

Deploy MailGuard to Microsoft 365

MailGuard is an Outlook web add-in. For the beta, a Microsoft 365 or Exchange administrator deploys it with Centralized Deployment / Integrated Apps. This is not a local Windows installation.

  • Administrator uploads the Outlook add-in file
  • Assign MailGuard to selected users or groups
  • Users open Outlook after deployment propagates

Administrator deployment steps

  1. Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center with an account that can deploy add-ins.
  2. Go to SettingsIntegrated apps.
  3. Choose Upload custom apps (or Add-ins → Upload custom app, depending on your admin center layout).
  4. Upload the Outlook add-in file from this page (MailGuard.outlook.xml).
  5. Assign MailGuard to specific users or groups (for a single mailbox test, assign only that user).
  6. Complete deployment. Propagation can take from a few minutes up to 24 hours.

Hosted add-in URL (alternative to file upload): https://guard.code13.ca/outlook-addin/manifest.xml

Where users find MailGuard after deployment

  • New Outlook (Windows): Open a message → Apps / add-ins surface → MailGuard. Restart Outlook after assignment if it does not appear immediately.
  • Outlook on the web: Open a message → Apps → MailGuard. Sign in with the MailGuard account when prompted.

After the add-in appears, users sign in with their MailGuard organization account (created on Get Started).
